Eleanor Mitchell was born into a prominent Lancashire fairground family in 1906. She recorded details of her early life both on and off the fairground. At the age of 16 she became the champion typist of Europe, and went on to win many competitions. Her son Tommy Green has brought these details together and added lavish illustrations to give a vivid picture of life on the fairgrounds from before the first war. Includes a detailed section on the rides and transport of Mitchell's by Kevin Scrivens.
96 pages, very well illustrated with many family photographs of Mitchell's Rides, Engines, Organs and other equipment. £12.95
