Lakin Odeon Waltzers:
In 1946 R.J.Lakin of Streatham produced a new Waltzer for Pat Collins. It was the first of a series of Waltzers with a theme based on the successful  designs by architect Harry Weedon for the Odeon chain of Cinemas. The article illustrates each of these machines and gives details of their histories.
Fairground Steam Wagons:
Between the wars the steam wagon became an affordable alternative to the horse for many travellers of side stuff. Hundreds of vehicles were pressed into service on fairgrounds, the majority by Fodens of Sandbach. Photographs of some of these plus examples by Clayton and Shuttleworth, and Robey of Lincoln are included.
