Anniversary Waltz:
The 70th anniversary of the introduction of the Waltzer is celebrated by an article on the pre war Waltzers built by Robert Lakin. A detailed history of each machine accompanied by many photographs of the rides throughout their travelling days.
Waltzer Restoration:
Bill Treen reports on the restoration of one of the finest Lakin Waltzers which were built pre war. In 1938 the ride was delivered to W.H.Marshall. It had a large extension front and the whole machine was lavishly decorated. After so many years it was a surprise and pleasure to find that much of the original decoration has survived beneath several re-paints.
