30 years after the debut of John Walter Shaw's Maxwell Ark, the first to be themed "Easyrider" after the 1969 film, several prominent enthusiasts have collaborated to give a detailed history of the ride from the day it was delivered new to Chester Race Fair.Extra colour pages in the magazine depict the machine and its stunning art work.

The last Fowler Steam Showmans engine was built in Leeds exactly 70 years ago. Stephen Smith looks at the circumstances around the order and delivery of this engine having researched periodicals of the period  to give an accurate account of the history of the engine .
